All duties and responsibilities are performed in support of Dakota Hope Clinic?s mission, vision, core values, commitment of care and competence, and statement of faith.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide the following services and/or supervise other staff in the performance of these services:1. Answer calls during clinic hours from clients who have an unintended pregnancy or a sexual health issue.2. Obtain patient history and do nursing interview and assessment. 3. Perform pregnancy medical services, including limited ultrasound exams and pregnancy testing.4. Provide counseling and education regarding pregnancy and parenting options, with appropriate referral to medical providers and community agencies.5. Provide sexual integrity counseling for clients with a negative pregnancy test.6. Provide counseling, information, and referral for sexually transmitted infections or sexual health issues. 7. Teach pre-natal, parenting, and sexual integrity classes that allow clients to earn diapers, clothing, and other material necessities. 8. Comply with clinic requirements for client informed consent and documentation of services provided.9. Assist other Clinic staff as needed in providing other Clinic services:a. Community education for sexual healthb. Resources and training for parents and educatorsc. Resources, counseling and referral for pregnancy loss, including loss from miscarriage, abortion or infant deathd. Support services for parents who are given a concerning pre-natal or post-natal diagnosis Administrative Responsibilities1. Along with medical director, screen all educational/counseling material for medical accuracy.2. Along with Clinic Director, ensure compliance with Medical Director and or Medical Advisory Board orders and policies. 3. Perform quality control review of medical records and initiate quality improvement when necessary.4. Ensure compliance with state and professional standards for staff training, continuation education and skill proficiency for all staff who provide medical services.5. Ensure that medical equipment is properly operated and maintained..6. Along with medical director, perform annual review of center policies and procedures.7. Order medical supplies as needed.8. Assist in the recruitment/hiring of other nursing staff and perform annual performance evaluation as needed. 9. Performs special projects as assigned by supervisor. Supervision Receives periodic supervision from offsite medical director and general oversight by the Executive Director.Requirements1. Currently licensed as an RN in North Dakota. 2. At least two years nursing experience required. Experience in a pro-life pregnancy center, OB, and/or nurse managerial experience strongly preferred.3. Good interpersonal skills and a desire to give of self in order to promote the sanctity of life. 4. Good oral and written communication skills, with attention to detail. 5. Possess and demonstrate good judgment and integrity.6. Good administrative and organizational skills.7. Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs preferred.8. Willing to work some evening and Saturday hours.9. Willingness and ability to share the gospel of Jesus Christ by word and example, including prayer.11. Completion of any training the Board deems necessary, including training out-of-state. This position requires a one-year commitment on the part of the employee from the date of each training that was paid for by Dakota Hope Clinic or employee agrees to repay all training expenses. Fifty percent of the training costs will be refunded to employee if he/she separates after a term of six months. 12.
